Main Research Lines / Participation in SusPlast:

• Polymer modification and processing (functionalization of natural polymers, preparation of micro and nanoparticles through emulsion methods and nanoprecipitation)
• Nanostructured polymer films and coatings obtained through layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly of biobased polymers
• Design and characterization of biobased polymer hydrogels and their nanocomposites with functional nanoparticles for high added value applications
• Advanced rheological characterization of polymer and biopolymer solutions and gels for the determination of structure-properties relationship
• Biomedical applications (magnetic hyperthermia, drug delivery, 3D hydrogel printing)
