Main Research Lines / Participation in SusPlast:

  • Extraction of cellulose and lignin from lignocellulosic residues by sequential fractionation for use as modified polymers or as co-polymers or additives
  • Obtaining renewable monomers from lignocellulosic residues: ethylene, maleic acid, succinic acid, adipic acid, cyclopentanone oxime and butanediol
  • Reformed gas to synthesis gas from renewable sources such as methane, bio-oils, methanol, ethanol, glycerin and acetone
  • Methanation of CO2
  • Design, development and construction of autonomous reformers for the production of synthesis gas and hydrogen
